New Google Talk Features
Two features of the new Google talk client are interesting, when taken together. (1) Display the MP3 track I'm listening to as my status message. (2) "Instant" file transfer to someone in your buddy list. I don't think it's a coincidence that these were bundled into a single release. : )
The other mildly interesting new feature - leaving voicemail for someone offline, rather than voice chatting - is really convenient. The sound quality is pretty good, although it can take a while for the recipient to "pick up" the message - up to a minute in my tests so far.
